Hamilton gives Verstappen important lesson: 'Sometimes it's more important'

Lewis Hamilton collided hard with Max Verstappen during the Italian Grand Prix, leaving both drivers unable to continue. Two weeks later, the British driver gives his rival important advice.
The seven-time world champion is in fierce competition with Verstappen this season. The Dutchman is currently five points ahead of Hamilton, but is far from winning the world championship. In Italy, Verstappen's second place in the sprint race took him two points clear.
Hamilton is looking forward to seeing Verstappen back on track in Russia. "The most important thing is that we duel firmly and fairly and give the season a good follow-up," NOS quotes during the press conference. "In a title race you have to weigh up the pros and cons. Of course a driver always wants to overtake, but you can't win everything in one corner. Sometimes it's more important to make it to the next corner. Then you have to avoid such a fierce duel. It's also a question of experience."
Penalty for Verstappen
Verstappen got a grid penalty in Italy by the race management. The Dutchman has to move up three places at the start of the race, which makes it more challenging for him to get a good result in Russia.
