Rain this weekend in Sochi? Images of flooded paddock
- GPblog.com
After the cancelled race at Spa-Francorchamps due to severe weather conditions nobody hopes we have to go through that again. Only two laps were driven during the Belgian Grand Prix.
However, this weekend during the Russian Grand Prix a lot of rainfall is expected. In the weather forecast for this weekend it is predicted that it will rain heavily on Saturday and Sunday. Also on Friday it will not stay completely dry.
Paddock flooded
The week starts wet in Sochi, as there are already several pictures of the weather conditions on the circuit. The showers were so heavy today that part of the paddock is flooded. You can also see how a car drives on the wet track.
With only a few days to go until we actually start racing in Sochi it remains to be seen if it will really rain this weekend, but so far it looks very wet in Russia. Who knows, maybe the weather conditions will play a role in the decision on Max Verstappen's engine change.
