Hamilton spotted wearing support tape on neck after crash with Verstappen
Lewis Hamilton has been spotted wearing support tape on his neck after the Italian Grand Prix. Max Verstappen's Red Bull car ended up on top of Hamilton's cockpit after the two collided at turn one.
In interviews after the race, Hamilton reported that he was fine and well, but not without some aches and pains. Hamilton tried to reverse the car after things had come to a halt, but he was stuck in the gravel.
Mercedes team boss believes the halo saved Hamilton's life. "Halo definitely saved Lewis’s life today. It would have been a horrible accident, that I don’t even want to think about if we wouldn’t have had the halo," Wolff is quoted by Autosport.
