Wolff: 'I think we need to be satisfied with where we ended up'
- Toby McLuskie
Toto Wolff was happy with the qualifying performance of both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, as the Brit lines up on the front row and Bottas is one place behind. Wolff expressed his overall opinion of the sessions today and understood that Max Verstappen's fastest lap was superb.
"I think we need to be satisfied with where we ended up," Wolff told Sky Sports. "Lewis missed out a lot yesterday on running and in the end only put one lap together. P2 and P3 is a good starting point."
Speaking further on Hamilton, Wolff expressed his happiness with his performance in the car today, "I think he outperformed the car. That was a mega lap."
Orange Army in full force
When asked about the Dutch fans, Wolff laughed and expressed his praise to the fan's performance in the stands, "I think if something were to happen tomorrow, even if it's not our fault, they would be flaring those orange things at us. I hope we have a good race. They have been super fair and there has been no booing."
Red Bull vs Mercedes
Wolff finished by stating the obvious about the battle tomorrow, stating that, "if we are able to have the same pace in the race, it will be about survival on a one-stop. Max has to make a decision if he's going for a one-stop or a two-stop. I think we can play both strategies tomorrow. Two cars can go differently and finish one-two."
