Max Verstappen is at the start of his first official home race in Formula 1. While the whole of the Netherlands is in an uproar, the Red Bull Racing driver seems to be very down to earth about it.
Thousands of fans dressed in orange come to Zandvoort especially for one man: Max Verstappen. The Dutchman enjoys all the attention and is looking forward to seeing his fans, but also states that winning is the only thing that counts in the end.
Verstappen wants to win
''Yes, that's right. Like every other Grand Prix of course. Of course I always try to get the best result out of it. So we'll just try that'', says Verstappen opposite Jack Plooij at Ziggo Sport. When asked whether it is not a bit special, we get more insight into the mindset of Max.
''Yes, of course it's all nice. Of course I'm also looking forward to seeing all the fans next to the track, but the most important thing is that we perform. It starts with tuning the car as well as possible. We'll start with that and then we'll see how far we get'', concludes Verstappen.
