Weather forecast for the Belgian GP: Good news for Mercedes or Red Bull?
- GPblog.com
Pirelli have already indicated that they are having difficulty predicting the strategy for the Belgian Grand Prix. The weather conditions at Spa-Francorchamps have been unpredictable for the entire weekend and it has been raining heavily.
Rain likely during the race
It will be a cool day at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, with an average temperature of fourteen degrees. Rain is also on the way, but the weather at Spa is known for its unpredictability.
The 24 hour forecast from Weerplaza.nl predicts rain from 3pm this afternoon. It will not stop until 5pm, which would mean that it will be pouring down throughout the race. Should this not be the case, it will be exciting to see which tyre strategy the teams go for.
Should the forecast come true, it will be good news for Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. They were strong in wet conditions on Saturday, while Mercedes seemed to be struggling.
