Weather conditions at Spa cause flooded car parks
- GPblog.com
The weather conditions in Spa-Francorchamps are anything but dry. It has been raining all weekend and especially yesterday it was hardly dry. Those who travel to Spa-Francorchamps today for the Belgian Grand Prix should prepare for some traffic chaos.
The meadows around the Spa circuit are used as parking places during the race weekend. The wet weather makes it very muddy and several sources in Belgium report that many of these parking places are not passable. Several people had difficulties leaving the parking areas after the qualification.
Yesterday as well people were stuck in traffic jams because they couldn't get into the parking lot. Other parking facilities will be used today, but it is also expected that people will have to park along the road. People who end up far away from the circuit will have the possibility to be brought to the circuit by bus.

Additional car parks have been opened to replace the muddy meadows. Some of them are further away, so shuttles will be running continuously to the circuit until 2pm and back to the car parks after #BelgianGP between 4pm and 8pm
