Honda is very grateful to Red Bull: 'An open and honest approach'

This weekend is an important test for Honda. Max Verstappen hopes to be in the race for victory at the Belgian Grand Prix, but that is only possible with a good engine. So Spa-Francorchamps will be a good test to see how far Honda is with the engine.
Collaboration with Red Bull
Honda are in their final year in Formula 1 and hope to finish with a bang. The world title must be won with Verstappen, and they are well on their way to doing so. This year Verstappen finally has a package to fight at different tracks, and that is also due to Honda. However, it will be at Spa and Monza that we really see how good Honda is.
''In a short time in this hybrid era, we have achieved some great results, such as our first win in Austria in 2019 and first pole in Hungary that same year, as well as our first double podium with Red Bull in Bahrain 2020 and, most recently, the fact that we have achieved five consecutive wins so far this year,'' said Toyoharu Tanabe in the preview from Honda, prior to their 50th race with Red Bull Racing.
Honda is grateful
''Honda had been back in Formula 1 for four years before we partnered with Red Bull and we hadn't even achieved a podium finish, so we've come a long way to now be fighting for the championship with Red Bull. This is thanks to a lot of hard work and excellent communication from everyone at Honda and Red Bull. On the eve of our 50th race I'd like to thank Red Bull Racing for their open and honest approach and the confidence they've shown in us, as we share the same goal. In addition, we must not forget the contribution of the riders during that time. ‘’
''Another important factor was our excellent collaboration with Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2018, which laid the foundations for the collaboration with both teams from the following year onwards, and we are proud of what we have achieved so far. There are only about ten races left for Honda's F1 project and we will all push as hard as we can to end this adventure on a high,'' the Honda top executive concluded.
