Alpine takes remarkable decision after Ocon victory

Alpine says goodbye to Rémi Taffin shortly after Esteban Ocon's race win. The decision is part of the steps Laurent Rossi wants to take in the team in the coming period.
The new Alpine director already announced last winter that he wanted to analyse how he could make the team stronger. When he had completed this analysis, he would come up with the necessary steps to improve the team. Taffin appears to be one of the people who is a victim of Rossi's new policy.
The former engine boss had been with the team since the end of the last century, with which he achieved several successes. Most recently, he had overall responsibility for the powertrain developed at the Viry-Châtillon facility, reports Speedweek.
GP of Hungary
The team could hardly be happier with the performances of Ocon and Fernando Alonso during the last race before the summer break. While the Frenchman took victory in Hungary, Alonso crossed the finish line in fourth place. With the strong performance, Ocon is tenth in the world championship, while Alonso is eleventh with one point less.
