Adrian Newey believes that the only thing staying the same in next season's regulation changes is the engine and that is the biggest rule changes since 1982.

"You've got this huge regulation change for next season. I'd say the biggest single regulation change since 1982. So really is an enormous change. In every sense of the word. The only thing that really stays the same is the power unit," said Newey in the Talking Bull podcast of Red Bull Racing .

Split between this season and next

Newey revealed that designing the new car is very difficult due to multiple factors that come into play. "It's kind of a balancing act. As for all teams of course. We're trying to keep developing this years car, because we hopefully have a chance at the championship, we certainly have at the moment."

"Yet at the same time we can't ignore next years. So we're doing our best to juggle these two balls," Newey added.
