The first free practice is over and that means that it's already time for the second practice session of the day. In FP2, besides qualifying runs, there will also be long runs.

LIVE: Hungarian Grand Prix - FP2

Last time out in Silverstone, qualifying was later on the Friday due to the Saturday sprint race, but in Hungary, we'll just do it like we're used to. In a 60 minute practice session, the drivers and their teams have the chance to work on the set-up of the car.

It promises to be an exciting weekend with battles on several fronts. At the head of the field, Red Bull Racing and Mercedes will battle it out to win the 11th Grand Prix of the season, while Ferrari, McLaren and perhaps AlphaTauri will battle it out to take the title of 'best of the rest' at the Hungaroring.

Verstappen is currently eight points ahead of Hamilton in the World Championship. If the British Mercedes driver takes the win in Hungary as well as the fastest lap, and Verstappen comes second, both men will go into the summer break with 203 points.

The battle resumes

The two rivals have been battling at the top of the World Championship since March. Last time out in Silverstone, Hamilton and Verstappen touched. The Dutchman crashed out of the race, whilst the stewards deemed Hamilton to be at fault and gave him a 10-second penalty. Hamilton won the race and significantly cut the gap.

After a quiet weekend, the two rejoin the circuit. Both drivers won't be giving an inch as they look to pick up momentum going into the summer break.
