Anthony Hamilton thinks the crash of Max Verstappen in the British Grand Prix was a racing incident. According to Hamilton's dad, these kind of incidents are part of driving in Formula 1.

"At the end of the day, it's a race incident and 99 times out of 100 it's a race incident. What do you want then? Drivers lining up neatly on the straight and then taking it easy. This is a race," Hamilton senior replied in conversation with Sky Sports.

Lewis' father went on to express his delight at the fact that Verstappen had got away seemingly without any major cracks. "The most important thing about this weekend, apart from hoping Max is OK, is that the fans were presented with a phenomenal race and that's what we should be talking about."

Relationship Verstappen and Hamilton

The relationship between Hamilton and Verstappen has been fine so far in 2021. Hamilton hopes it will remain that way. "Lewis has no problems with Max. Both of those guys go out on the track and want to have a good race. Sometimes things don't go the way you want. That's racing, " the Brit concludes. One thing is for sure: Verstappen is not as happy with Hamilton as he was earlier this season.
