Recruitment continues at Aston Martin. The team is busy restructuring and growing to a workforce of 800 people. The latest recruit is Mark White as Operations Director, the team says in a press release.
More than 25 years of experience
White comes over from Honda, where he joined the company in 1994. He has held a number of senior positions with the manufacturer in the areas of planning, production control and quality assurance and has more than 25 years' experience in motorsport.
Aston Martin is in the process of restructuring and White's appointment means that Bob Halliwell will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer [formerly Production Director] and White will report directly to Halliwell. White will have overall responsibility for Production Control, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing.
Key appointment
Aston Martin team principal Otmar Szafnauer said he was delighted with White's appointment. "He will add valuable expertise to our factory operations. Mark's experience in the automotive world will be particularly relevant as the cost cap comes into effect and there is a greater emphasis on reducing production costs."
