Valtteri Bottas will be hoping for a turnaround at Silverstone. Red Bull Racing has won the last five Grands Prix, something that has not happened before in the V6 hybrid era.

Red Bull was faster in Austria

"It's a challenge", Bottas admits at Motorsport-Total.com. "But we've been at the same circuit for two weeks now and Red Bull is clearly faster at this circuit." Max Verstappen managed to win both the Styrian Grand Prix and the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring. Bottas himself still managed to score two podiums, teammate Lewis Hamilton one.

"It can be different at every circuit", says the Finn. Verstappen and Sergio Perez were particularly strong on the straights in Austria. "But elsewhere they are not slow either", he says of Red Bull.

All eyes on Silverstone

Bottas now sets his sights on the British Grand Prix, from which he expects a lot. "Silverstone is a very different circuit, there are a lot more fast corners. We have a few new parts planned, but I think it will be quiet after that," Bottas said. Toto Wolff has previously revealed that the team is keen to focus on 2022.

According to Bottas, Mercedes limited the damage in Austria compared to Red Bull. The Finn is ready to battle it out again in Britain: "But we know it's going to be difficult".
