On Friday Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton were both on top in a practice session. Which drivers will go into qualifying feeling the best? That will be determined (amongst others) by the balance of power in the third and final free practice session at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

Lewis Hamilton may have set the fastest time in the second free practice, but he thinks Mercedes' chances of winning the Austrian Grand Prix are limited. The German team ran with more engine power than the RB16B, so Max Verstappen had to settle for third place in FP2.

Can Perez recover?

Sergio Perez still has some work to do, because an eleventh place in the afternoon session on Friday was not to write home about. Red Bull Racing is not worried yet though, as Christian Horner expects the Mexican driver to find time on Saturday. Valtteri Bottas seemed to be on the mark alongside Hamilton.

The second free practice session starts at 11:00 UK time. Aston Martin will be hoping for a day as good as yesterday, while AlphaTauri will hope to drive in Q3 with two cars later on today. Ferrari will have to work hard, as both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were outside the top ten on Friday.
