Verstappen confident: 'The speed is there'

Max Verstappen once again has a great chance of winning the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. The Dutchman has already won the race once in 2018 and 2019, while Valtteri Bottas was victorious last year.
During the first two free practices Verstappen made a good impression with a first and third time. "In itself it all looks good", he judged in conversation with Ziggo Sport. Since Verstappen already drove in Austria last weekend, he didn't have to change much to his car. "Of course you always try to adjust something, so we did. Also because it's naturally colder, so you automatically have to adjust the car a bit differently."
Verstappen looked back on the first day of the Austrian GP with satisfaction. "At least you know what you are doing in terms of engine settings. That run on the softs was not quite top, but to still be so close is just good. You can also clearly see in the long runs that the speed is there."
GP of Styria
Verstappen was supreme last weekend during the Styrian GP, driven on the same Austrian circuit. The driver was much faster than competitor Hamilton at the Red Bull Ring, while Valtteri Bottas took third place.
