Marko has the world title in his grasp: 'We will only increase the pressure'

Red Bull Racing was fastest on the straights last weekend. Reference has been made to the low downforce setup, but the German Sport1.de reports that Honda now has an equivalent engine to the one used by Mercedes.
Red Bull has actually been behind the times for years. Whereas the Austrian team was very successful with Renault from 2010 to 2013, things went completely wrong during the hybrid era. Mercedes had a huge lead, which the competition has only just managed to close.
Pressure on Mercedes
According to Sport1.de the new engine Honda brought to France is on the same level as the Mercedes engine. Red Bull also drove with fresh engines in Le Castellet, where Mercedes took the new engine to Baku. That also provides some extra power.
So the engine is a step forward, but also the RB16B is better than all its predecessor. Helmut Marko is very happy with that because now Red Bull seems to have a chance at the world title. ''If we put pressure on Mercedes, then they will make mistakes. We will only increase the pressure in the future'', concludes the Austrian.
