Along with Formula 1, Formula 2 will race in Baku this weekend. The support class of the top of motorsport drove together with F1 in Monaco before and in Azerbaijan they will fill up the weekend together again. On Friday the F2 already drives the qualifying and this week it was driven before the second free practice.

Liam Lawson, junior of Red Bull Racing and driver of Hitech, managed to take his first pole position in Baku. Joining him on the grid will be Juri Vips, also a Red Bull junior. This will fill the front row of the grid for Sunday's feature race in Red Bull colours. F3 champion Oscar Piastri qualified third.
