It's one of the hot discussion points this season, the mobility of the wings and what is and isn't allowed. These so-called flexiwings are mainly the cause of reproaches between Mercedes and Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen isn't worried about anything though.

Tests by the FIA

In recent weeks several teams, including Red Bull, have been checked by the FIA on the degree of rear wing movement. From the French Grand Prix onwards new tests will be introduced to check this. A movable front or rear wing would benefit the speed on the straight.

Verstappen told Sky Sports F1 Verstappen that he has no concerns whatsoever about the FIA's controls. "Of course I can understand that other people look at things when we are doing a good job with the car this season," said the Dutchman. "I can understand people complaining, but it's all within the rules so far. There's nothing wrong with it. Of course, they [other teams] try to slow us down."

Looking at the big picture

The criticism of Red Bull in recent weeks came mainly from Mercedes, after which Mercedes parried the criticism by pointing at Mercedes' wing. Mercedes responded by pointing to their wing, which is said to move too much on the track. "I think you have to look at the whole picture, the most important and dominant part of the car is the front and we don't bend there as much as other teams", hinted Verstappen to Mercedes.
