Max Verstappen has put his victory at the Monaco Grand Prix behind him and will focus on the sixth race of the season in the coming days. In Azerbaijan, the Dutchman hopes to set a good performance again. Although Verstappen knows it won't be easy.

The Red Bull Racing driver showed in Monaco that his team has a serious claim to winning the world championship this season. In qualifying, Verstappen looked set to take pole position, but Charles Leclerc's crash forced him to stop his fast, final lap. The Ferrari driver was unable to start the race, however, so the Dutchman was still in front. In the race, he maintained his first position.

"It’s time to change that," Verstappen responded in his team's preview. "The track is ok but probably not a favourite of mine if I’m honest. Let’s see how competitive we are, I do expect Mercedes to come back strong there though."

Leading Verstappen in world championship

For now, Verstappen is on top in the world championship. His rival Lewis Hamilton finished seventh at the last GP and lost his lead.
