Bottas agrees with Verstappen: ''I'm going to use that term too''

Valtteri Bottas has been criticised a lot lately, but he's sick of it. He envies cycle racing, where it's more about the team and where drivers really try to help each other out.
Bottas laughs at term of Verstappen
Bottas has been a driver for Mercedes since 2017, and with such a top team you naturally come under a magnifying glass. Bottas can't match the level of Lewis Hamilton, but perhaps that's not surprising. After all, going up against a seven-time world champion isn't easy.
Online Bottas gets a lot of criticism from the, as Max Verstappen calls them; Keyboard warriors. Bottas can laugh about that name. ''Haha, that's a good one. I'm going to use that term too. Through the years you get used to it. People will always talk about you, let them do that'', Bottas says to De Telegraaf.
F1 not a team sport
Bottas is less concerned with the sport but continues to work hard to improve himself. The Finn spends a lot of time on his bike, especially since he met his girlfriend Tiffany Cromwell. Bottas sometimes looks at cycling with envy, which he says, unlike Formula 1, is much more of a team sport.
''I've seen in cycling that teammates there actually work well together... In Formula 1 it's different. You work together, but at the same time, your teammate is your biggest enemy. In cycling, there really is a team spirit. If someone wins, it is a victory for the whole team. I had never realised that before'', the Mercedes driver concludes.
