The race weekend in Monaco has not even started yet, but the first blows are already being dealt back and forth. Mercedes is pushing Red Bull Racing into the favourites role, who don't want to hear about it. Lewis Hamilton says that Max Verstappen has more to prove than he does, who doesn't want to know about it either. The tension is building already.

Chances for Verstappen and Red Bull in Monaco

When Verstappen is asked that with this car it must be very possible to win in Monaco, the Dutchman responds sharply. "That's what everyone keeps saying all year," he replies to Sky Sports' question. Mercedes is at least one of them. "But they say that every weekend, and in the end they still win", Verstappen continues.

The FIA recently announced it would be introducing additional testing for the flexible rear wing, something that was brought to light by Hamilton. To Verstappen, the question is to what extent Red Bull's rear wing is legal. "It was legal up until that point, and we didn't do anything wrong," explains the 23-year-old driver.

However, it is possible that Red Bull will have to make adjustments to the part. "It could hurt us, but other teams as well. So I honestly don't see it as anything big," Verstappen finishes.
