Lando Norris says he has no sympathy for his new teammate Daniel Ricciardo struggles to adapt to his new team. The Australian has had a slow start at McLaren.

Results will come naturally

“I don't want to be mean, but I have no sympathy,” Norris told F1i.com . "At the end of the day, it was his decision to come to McLaren. It is the decision of any driver to go to a different team and it is up to him to do a good job."

"It is as simple as that. It is up to him, it is not up to me to help him or up to me to make him feel better. It is his job," he continued.

It is also still early in the season Norris knows. Therefore, the Brit expects the results to come naturally. "We know he is going to get there eventually so we will still be able to fight strongly."

Slip up with Renault

Ricciardo came to McLaren last winter after a failed adventure at Renault. The seven-time Grand Prix winner came to the French team to start winning races, but failed to get further than two third places in the two years he drove there.
