The opinions on Max Verstappen are a bit divided in Formula 1. One analyst thinks that the Red Bull Racing driver is maximising his performance at the moment, while Nico Rosberg believes that it is the little mistakes that are killing Verstappen at the moment. Helmut Marko has his own opinion.

In an interview with F1-Insider.com Marko says Verstappen will not be the only top driver to make mistakes in 2021. "Hamilton makes mistakes too, you saw that at the restart in Portugal. But the consequences of his mistakes are smaller - like in Imola, which can only be called luck."

Hamilton more patient than Verstappen

At least Red Bull's advisor is sure: "What is certain is that Hamilton is even more hardened. He can wait for his chance. Max, it must be said, is quite temperamental in character. Or to put it differently: impatient. That's a bit in Hamilton's favour at the moment."

After four Grand Prix's, Hamilton is fourteen points ahead of Verstappen in the world championship: 94 to 80. Hamilton has already won three times in 2021, while Verstappen only got to sit on the top step of the podium in Imola. The season still has nineteen GP weekends, so there is still plenty of time to close the gap.
