In 2020, the drivers suffered from a rather slippery track in Portimao, due to a combination of new asphalt and rain on Sunday. This weekend, the Formula One circus will return to Portugal, and with this edition taking place earlier in the year, temperatures are expected to be a little lower.

The 2020 edition was not characterized by particularly high temperatures, but this weekend it is expected to be even cooler. There are also many clouds expected, so the track temperature will be lower.

Friday

During the first free practice session, a maximum temperature of 17 degrees is expected, and it is expected to be cloudy. During the second practice session, it will be a bit warmer with a maximum temperature of 19 degrees, but the wind is also expected to increase to 23 km/h.

Saturday

On Saturday, during the third free practice and qualifying session, it looks largely the same as on Friday. As the afternoon progresses the wind increases, and temperatures are around the same point as on Friday. Also on Saturday, the sun doesn't seem to breakthrough.

Sunday

During the race, the conditions seem to look a bit better. It is expected to be sunny in the afternoon and slightly warmer than the days before, with temperatures of 24 degrees. However, on Sunday the wind is expected again, with speeds of around 24 km/h. For the time being, no rain is expected during the weekend.
