No Formula 1 this weekend, but on Sunday there was a special race on the program: The Historic Grand Prix in Monaco. During the event, historic Formula 1 cars from the 50s through the 80s were seen in action.

One of the participants is a familiar face: Former Formula 1 driver Jean Alesi was on the grid in his old Ferrari 312B3. During the race, he got into a fight with the Lotus of Marco Werner, who hit Alesi. This caused Alesi to hit the wall and he had to end his race early.

Drama in Monaco

Werner was able to continue the race despite front wing damage, and after a red flag situation, he crossed the finish line first. A dramatic moment followed, however, when Werner was penalized for hitting Alesi, causing him to drop back to third place. He then walked off the podium without his trophy.
