It was an exciting Sunday in Formula 1. It was a very eventful afternoon, partly due to the wet track conditions and many crashes. Max Verstappen had a near flawless performance on the Imola track and crowned himself the winner. In doing so, he put his Italian 'curse' behind him.

In 2020, Verstappen recorded three DNFs at Monza, Mugello and Imola. However, he was victorious at the first Italian Grand Prix of the season. Lewis Hamilton finished second after a great overtaking race, while Lando Norris took a handsome podium for McLaren.

Behind them, both Ferrari's of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz were back. Daniel Ricciardo finished sixth. The top-ten was completed by Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly, Kimi Raikkonen and Esteban Ocon. George Russell, Valtteri Bottas and Nicholas Latifi were the dropouts during the second GP of the year.
