Max Verstappen would've hoped for better in qualifying. He will start behind pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton and teammate Sergio Perez. The front was very close, so every mistakes were punished. Especially the relatively big mistake Verstappen made in his fast lap.

Verstappen can only blame himself

"Not so good in the Q3. I went off in turn 3 a bit messy not a good lap. Can't be good every time. We will see what went wrong but it's not the easiest in Q3 but P3 is a good starting position," he tells interviewer Davide Valsecchi.

What's more, this is the first time in a long time that Red Bull will be battling with two cars against one Mercedes at the front of the field. "It's going to be interesting because we have the two cars on different tyres and we will see how that works out but we will try to make it difficult for them."
