Mick Schumacher has only just started his Formula 1 career becoming the latest Schumacher to race in F1, following his father Michael and Ralf who drove in Formula 1 in the past.

Ralf Schumacher explained in an interview with f1-insider.com that without his brother he would never have reached the highest level of racing.

"Without Michael and our mutual manager Willi Weber, I might never have ended up in Formula 1. Michael wouldn't have got into Formula 1 without the efforts of Weber and Mercedes. You have to be so honest. They've opened doors for me, that's for sure."

Mick Schumacher's uncle also commented on his nephew's performance at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

"Mick did great in his first weekend. The many spins of his teammate Nikita Mazepin showed that the car is not exactly easy to drive. Therefore, Mick's turn in the race does not detract from my positive impression."

Ralf Schumacher started his Formula 1 career in 1997 at Jordan Grand Prix. He raced there for one year before he moved to Williams in 1998. He stayed there for five years and also scored his first victory. That happened at the San Marino Grand Prix in 2001. Eventually he ended his career at Toyota.
