Honda problems for Red Bull: Perez gets new engine parts!
- GPblog.com
Sergio Perez's car is being worked on an hour before the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing team has reportedly spotted some things in the data, leading to the decision to replace parts of the power unit shortly before the first race of the year.
That's what the well-informed Albert Fabrega, journalist for the Spanish Movistar, reports. The changes seem to be precautionary. The RB16B of the Mexican will be ready in time, so Perez can just start. A grid penalty will not follow.
For Honda it is a new setback after the problems of Pierre Gasly on Saturday. Like the Frenchman of AlphaTauri, Perez gets a new energy store and a new ICE. Electrical problems seem to be the cause.
