During a winter test, it is always important not to anticipate too much. Teams will never say they are in great shape. But that's the impression Red Bull Racing seems to give to the experts. They can't help but conclude that Red Bull's performance is very good.

During the live broadcast on F1TV of the final day of the winter test, former F1 driver and analyst Martin Brundle can't stress enough how good he thinks the handling of the RB16B is. Brundle observed the cars frequently along the side of the track throughout the weekend and came to the conclusion that no other car has as much grip at the rear.

Speed AlphaTauri an extra good sign

Jolyon Palmer has also seen this and says the following in his after-race review of the weekend: "Of course we don't know in detail how the different teams are doing, but the rear of the RB16B seems to be sticking to the track. You can see that in Sergio Perez's case too, who is being helped enormously as he gets used to the car.

What will give Red Bull Racing extra confidence is the speed shown by Yuki Tsunoda in the AlphaTauri. It means that for now the Honda engine is not only reliable but also has the necessary power.
