For Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing the winter test has been excellent so far. On Friday Verstappen was the fastest of all and drove the most laps. On Sunday morning teammate Sergio Perez was also fastest. This puts the Dutchman in a good mood.

Journalist Lawrence Barretto has also noticed this. On F1TV he spoke about his interaction with Verstappen and what he can read from it. He says he can interpret the drivers' body language better and better the more he talks to them. "With Verstappen you can tell he's feeling good now," Barretto said.

At least better than in previous years

Moreover, Verstappen is not a driver who usually keeps criticism of the car or the team to himself.

"He has indicated that the car felt good during the tests, they haven't had that in years," Barretto added.

Last season, for example, the Rb16 suffered very badly from an unstable rear end when braking in slow corners. That was a problem that was also prevalent in the first half of the season. This time it doesn't seem to be a problem.
