In a press conference this morning Max Verstappen announced that he is already vaccinated against Covid-19, which means that he will skip the much talked about possibility to get a vaccine in Bahrain.

Asked by the Dutch press if he, like some of his fellow drivers, will take advantage of the possibility to get a vaccine prior to the first Grand Prix in Bahrain, he revealed that he has already been vaccinated.

This goes against the prevailing trend among drivers and engineers on the grid. Employees of AlphaTauri have been vaccinated in Bahrain, as have Sainz and Red Bull team mate Perez.

In action during final session

Verstappen will be back in action in the RBR16 today, during the afternoon session in Bahrain. The Dutchman was allowed to enjoy some rest on Saturday and Sunday morning, as Sergio Perez was on track for the team.
