Sergio Perez ended Saturday's race in eighth place. The Mexican drove a total of 117 laps on his first day for Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Racing is very happy with that result. Chief engineer Guillaume Rocquelin is a satisfied man after two successful days of testing.
Strong start for Red Bull
Now that two of the three test days are over Red Bull can be happy with the result so far. On both days the drivers completed a lot of laps without any serious problems. Chief engineer Guillaume Rocquelin said in a Red Bull Racing press release that he was satisfied with the result. "Sergio did a full race simulation today, including pit stops. That was very useful for him as he finds his place in the team and gets to know our procedures."
He continued: "We had some small problems, but nothing serious. It didn't affect our program, so these are things you want to encounter just during testing. Other than that, it was another good day."
"We weren't concerned with fast lap times and only drove a hard compound, so we can't draw any real conclusions from the timesheets. All inall we had two good days, and hopefully we can finish the test tomorrow with another productive day," said Rocquelin.
