Toto Wolff would not be surprised if Red Bull Racing have held back a few things during the winter tests in Bahrain. According to the Mercedes team boss, the RB16B of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez could be subject to changes after the weekend. The same might be true for Mercedes.

"I don't think we've seen all the cars yet as they will look at the race in Bahrain later on...", said Wolff in the press conference, which included Formule1.nl was present. The top man of the German racing team knows all too well that the competition doesn't want to get too caught up in the preparations.

Mercedes promises not to 'copy

Mercedes will keep a close eye on their rivals in the coming days and weeks. Possibly the world champion will find something that can make its own W12 faster. "We will look closely at the pictures of other teams' cars - but not copy", Wolff winks, referring to Racing Point's copy gate last year.

In recent years Mercedes has won the world title for both drivers and constructors. Red Bull Racing hopes to put a stop to that in 2021, but according to Christian Horner it all depends on what Mercedes will do. One thing is certain: the teams are also interested in what the other does.
