'Monaco Grand Prix counts on audience at the race'

After a cancelled edition in 2020, Formula 1 hopes to return to Monaco for the legendary Grand Prix. The preparations are in full swing.
Monaco Grand Prix with audience
The organisers of the race are hoping that there will be an audience at the event. According to Paolo Ciccarone, correspondent for the Italian Automoto, in any case, no public will be allowed in the paddock, but they will be allowed in the grandstands.
Half capacity
"The capacity of the grandstands has been reduced to fifty percent to allow a greater distance between the audience," said Ciccarone. "Depending on how the pandemic develops, an evolution of these rules may take place, but - we repeat - none of this is official yet."
"But it is certainly appreciated that those in Monaco are trying to accommodate audiences rather than resign themselves to a closed-door race as seems to be the case in Imola and Portimao," Ciccarone added.
