- GPblog.com
The Formula 2 drivers are currently completing a three-day test in Bahrain. The morning program of the third and final day of testing has been completed. Marcus Armstrong set the fastest time.
Verschoor in top ten
Richard Verschoor (MP Motorsport) showed himself in the top ten of the timesheet this morning. With an eighth time and 24 laps to go the Dutchman did some good business today. It was the first time he had been in the top part of the timesheet.
Bent Viscaal (Trident), the other Dutchman in Formula 2 this year, did so earlier, but this morning he was fifteenth. He did put 34 laps on the clock. The Dutchmen are among the total of ten rookies this season.
Armstrong fastest
The fastest man in the morning session was Marcus Armstrong (DAMS) with a time of 1:42.173, which was nowhere near the fastest time so far. That was set by Christian Lundgaard (ART) with a time of 1:41.697. The top five also includes Liam Lawson, Juri Vips, Guanyu Zhou and Lirim Zendeli. David Beckmann was the most productive driver with 48 laps. This afternoon the final part of the Formula 2 test will take place.
