Kvyat turns back on Red Bull and becomes reserve driver at Alpine F1
Daniil Kvyat is now a member of the Alpine F1 team. Last season, Kvyat raced for AlphaTauri but was pushed out of the door as Helmut Marko opted to put in Yuki Tsunoda and keep Pierre Gasly in the Red Bull junior team.
On the day the French team launched their 2021 F1 challenger, they also confirmed Kvyat's place on the team. The Russian has started 110 Grands Prix and recorded a podium in 2015, 2016 and 2019. The former Red Bull Racing Driver confirms he is pleased to sign for Alpine.
