Bahrain wants to vaccinate everyone involved in the event around the upcoming Grand Prix in Sakhir. That option is available in this country, although people coming to Bahrain are not obliged to get vaccinated.

Bahrain expands vaccination programme

The winter test in Bahrain is just around the corner and with the first race in the same country shortly behind, the Formula One season is about to begin. Bahrain is the starting point for this season, showing once again that the coronavirus is still very much present around the world.

The government in Bahrain has now announced that they want to extend the vaccination programme for ''major events in the kingdom on a voluntary basis. This gives an added benefit to the participants and the national population," the statement said.

Vaccinate in Bahrain

''Due to the timetable of the Formula One event this season, including the winter test, most participants will be in Bahrain for three weeks. This gives the unique opportunity to provide an extra layer of protection for those who want to take advantage of the chance to be vaccinated.'' This would be the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

However, according to Motorsport.com a Formula One spokesman has revealed that the F1 organisation itself has no plans to vaccinate the entire group due to the already planned vaccination programme in the UK. It is understood that most teams will not be using this service either.
