Max Verstappen is obviously in the middle of his preparations for the upcoming Formula 1 season. However, that doesn't stop him from the occasional sim race. Although he does this mainly for fun on a Saturday night in February, he does compete at the highest level and was successful again this weekend.

Last night he won the 12 hours of Bathurst (iRacing) for Team Redline. He did not do so alone, but together with professional sim racer Enzo Bonito. The pair were so dominant that they led from start to finish and lapped the entire field.

One-two for Team Redline

In the first half of the race, the duo were hot on the heels of the two Williams eSports teams, but both crashed out of the race. As a result, the second car of Team Redline, driven by Dutchman Jeffrey Rietveld and others, moved up to second place.

With this victory, Verstappen takes revenge for his unfortunate performance in the virtual 12 Hours of Bathurst last year. On that occasion, he gave away a victory when he sustained damage as a result of a traffic jam.
