Red Bull Racing has presented the new car for the 2021 Formula 1 season. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will step into the RB16B with an official Honda engine for the last time. View all photos here.

Red Bull Racing hopes that in 2021 it will finally be able to catch up with Mercedes, which has won every title since the hybrid era began in 2014. Red Bull has never really come close to making things difficult for Mercedes, but with a pole and victory in the last race of 2020 there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The challenge for Red Bull Racing

With the RB16B, Red Bull is looking to continue the momentum of 2020 and attack Mercedes from the start of the season. And they need to do so, because time is running out for their star driver Max Verstappen too. With Lewis Hamilton's possible retirement on the horizon, the Dutchman will also be looking around at some point.

On track we will see if Adrian Newey has managed to make his high-rake concept work with the new regulations. As you can see in the pictures, the floor had to be cut out and the diffuser was also simplified. Thus, every team loses downforce, but Red Bull with the high-rake perhaps hurts the most.
