McLaren shares sneak peek of new colour scheme with lots of blue
- GPblog.com
McLaren has stuck to the colour orange for several years now. It is the traditional team colour of McLaren and the team can use it to distinguish itself from the rest of the field. In 2021, Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo will again be admired in orange, that much is clear.
This is evident from a tweet from Mclaren on Tuesday afternoon, on which the aerosols with orange paint from AkzoNobel are clearly visible. However, there is another colour that is attracting a lot of attention. A kind of baby blue, similar to the wing colour used in 2020.

Is this related to Gulf?
This blue colour seems to be a shade lighter and the racing fans will quickly think of the legendary Gulf colour combination: baby blue with an orange stripe across the middle. Whether McLaren will go that far, seems unlikely, but Gulf has been a sponsor of the team since a few months and a little retro can't hurt.
