Formula 1 is working hard to make the sport more attractive to fans, but also to various manufacturers. Stefano Domenicali hints at interested parties and also hopes that Red Bull Racing will get their way.

Since the arrival of Liberty Media, the main focus has been to make the sport more enjoyable for fans to watch again, and with simpler engines also to attract more manufacturers to Formula 1. The result of that approach, and the plans for the coming years with the budget cap, seems to be working.

Support for Red Bull Racing

''In recent weeks we have seen interest from various parties who want to compete in the world championship in some form. The sport should be more about entertainment and the qualities of the driver should be central again'', says Domenicali according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Formula 1 also has a problem. After the departure of Honda, Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri have no engines in 2022, but Red Bull only wants to stay in it if the development of the engines is frozen. Domenicali welcomes this plan. ''I hope everyone realises that this is not only the right choice for Red Bull but for the whole of Formula 1," the Formula One CEO concludes.
