With Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, Ferrari has a particularly young line-up for 2021 and that worries other Ferrari talents. Antonio Giovinazzi still has the dream of driving for Ferrari, but sees that door closed for now.

Pressure mounting on Giovinazzi

Ferrari has had no complaints when it comes to young talent in recent years. Antonio Giovinazzi succeeded Charles Leclerc and now Mick Schumacher will make his debut. In addition, Callum Ilott is set to become Ferrari's reserve driver and Robert Shwartzman will do everything he can to get a place in Formula 1 in 2021.

Giovinazzi is already 27 and many people were surprised that he and not Shwartzman or Ilott got the seat at Alfa Romeo. The Italian team held on to the Italian, who has shown an upward trend over the years. Giovinazzi himself has noticed that there are many other talents ready to join the team but does not want to worry about it.

No place at Ferrari

''At the moment I'm not going to focus on other people. I am focused on myself and that is what I always try to do. I am trying to improve myself and then we will see what is possible. If I pay attention to other drivers, I won't get better myself,'' Giovinazzi said in a conversation with crash.net.

Giovinazzi still dreams of a place at Ferrari but sees with all the competition this is becoming increasingly difficult. Besides, with Sainz and Leclerc Ferrari has two drivers who could be there for years. ''It's my dream to drive for Ferrari, but of course I also know that Carlos and Charles will be there for a few more years," concluded the Alfa Romeo driver.
