Lewis Hamilton still number one for Gerhard Berger

Lewis Hamilton is the best driver in Formula 1 with six titles in the last seven years. However, youth is knocking on the door and wants to get to the top. According to Gerhard Berger Hamilton is still the best.
In 2013, Lewis Hamilton made perhaps the best choice of his entire career. The Brit made the switch from McLaren to Mercedes, and it proved to be a masterstroke. In 2014, he won the world title, and with the exception of 2016, he has won every championship that would follow. He is therefore one of the best drivers of all time.
Hamilton the number one
''Lewis is absolute world class. In addition to his tremendous speed and talent, he now has the experience. Teammate Valttere Bottas is not slow either, but he has no chance against Hamilton. That is how most drivers feel. Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel in normal form are of that top level, but Lewis is really the number one,'' Berger told F1-insider.com.
Hamilton is his current number one, but not the best of all time. ''We have had Fangio, Prost, Michael Schumacher, Alonso and Vettel who have shaped an era and so does Hamilton. For me, though, the best is still Ayrton Senna. He had no weakness and had that enormous charisma'', concludes the former teammate of the Brazilian.
