Despite the fact that Romain Grosjean miraculously survived his horror crash, that was probably the last Grand Prix we will see him drive. He will not return to Formula 1 in 2021. How has he performed against his various teammates since his debut in 2009?

2009

Grosjean made his debut in 2009, in which he did not immediately get the easiest teammate: He became the second driver at Renault, next to Fernando Alonso. He stepped in mid-season, and the car was mediocre. He finished 23rd in the championship, compared to Alonso's ninth place.

2012 - 2013

In 2010 and 2011, Grosjean failed to secure a seat, but in 2012 and 2013 he got to work alongside Kimi Raikkonen at Lotus, also not the easiest teammate to compete against. In these two seasons, Grosjean managed to score nine podiums, compared to Raikkonen's fourteen. His best final result with the team was seventh. Raikkonen managed to finish third but had significantly fewer DNFs than Grosjean (2-11).

2014 - 2015

In 2014, he was joined by Pastor Maldonado at Lotus. During that time, Grosjean managed to make the podium once, unlike Maldonado. They finished 11th and 14th respectively in the 2015 championship, and both had quite a few DNFs to their names.

2016

In 2016, Grosjean made the switch to Haas, where he started driving alongside Esteban Gutierrez. Grosjean proved to have more potential, with a 13th place finish compared to Gutierrez's 21st, and 29 World Championship points compared to 0.

2017 - 2020

In 2017, Kevin Magnussen arrived at Haas, and they formed a driver duo that was more evenly matched. Magnussen did a little better, though, with his best result being ninth in the championship compared to Grosjean's 13th. He also managed to gain 21 more points over the four seasons they drove at the team. However, Grosjean did fail to reach the finish line four more times than Magnussen.
