Sebastian Vettel lived his best days at Red Bull Racing. Between 2010 and 2013, he won the World Championship four times, making history. In 2015, he made the switch to Ferrari, but that ultimately ended in disappointment. Now Vettel has found a new place at Aston Martin, where he can work on himself again.

In conversation with F1-Insider.com Vettel revealed that it is a new environment at Aston Martin compared to his time at Red Bull. "On paper there are definitely things that are similar, but I think the situation is mainly different. I'm just at a different point in my life now."

Approach changed since Red Bull

"At a better point, with more experience and a clearer view of my own future. That's why you can't really compare the two situations," Vettel explained. He expects to learn things again at Aston Martin that he didn't learn at Red Bull. "At that time I didn't have the knowledge that I have today, so my approach is also completely different."

Where the confidence was lacking at Ferrari, it was present at Red Bull. Vettel admitted he wants to get that confidence back at Aston Martin too. "Everyone probably likes it when they are in an environment where they stand up for each other and work for each other. I've seen a lot of new faces so far at Aston Martin, but I'm confident that it will work out," Vettel concluded.
