If you have some money to spare and want to make your dream of one day driving a Formula 1 car come true, here's your chance: British company TrackDays will let you drive the Jordan EJ12 F1 car, once driven by none other than Takuma Sato, for just £999

Not just anyone can race

There is a lot involved before you can actually step into the EJ21. All the necessary safety instructions, a thirty-minute briefing and several techniques are explained first. When that's over, the TrackDays team will first accompany you in a BMW M3 and then an F1000 car.

You will then be given the chance to drive ten laps yourself on the Bovingdon Airfield circuit in Hertfordshire, England. The car is slightly less powerful than the original, as the 3.0-litre V10 Honda engine has been replaced with a 600hp Formula 3000 V8 engine. Some 200bhp less than when Sato raced the car.

The price tag of the car

The car was still for sale in September. The livery of the yellow monster has not changed since the 2002 Japanese Grand Prix. In the end, the car was purchased for £167,600.
