'Mercedes is not at all worried about Hamilton's contract'

Lewis Hamilton is the only driver who still has no contract for the coming season. According to the latest rumours, Hamilton has high salary requirements, which Daimler does not want to go along with. Rumours which, according to sources from Express Sport, are being disproved.
Seat to Russell?
Lewis Hamilton is reported to have received €45 million in 2020 for his services with the team. This would be the driver's basic requirement for his new contract, wrote Corriere Della Sera. According to the medium, Daimler's top team does not see this, given that the company has had to cut many jobs because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Sounds plausible, in which Ineos, as a new co-owner, could play a role in a solution. In the meantime, Daimler would consider giving Hamilton's seat to Russell, who is a lot cheaper. Fascinating stories that soon get attention in this somewhat quiet time, but all this is undermined by a new message.
Express Sport reports that Mercedes is certain that Lewis Hamilton will sign a new contract. All the rumours about salary claims, the seat for Russell and more are 'wild' according to the sources of the aforementioned medium. Moreover, they claim that Mercedes is completely comfortable with the situation.
One would be sure that there is a new deal before testing starts on 2 March. This is in line with what Wolff said earlier: "We are not worried about getting it done in the end. We will not put a specific date on it, because we do not want to be under pressure'.
