Sebastian Vettel leaves Ferrari and will make his debut for Aston Martin in 2021. The German did not win a world title at Ferrari, but according to Gerhard Berger he said goodbye to the Italian team in style.

Vettel was told early on in 2020 that he had to leave Ferrari at the end of the Formula 1 season. The goal of becoming world champion was not achieved and Ferrari wants to set a new course. According to Ferrari, Vettel is no longer an important part of that and so the German goes to Aston Martin.

Vettel says goodbye to Ferrari

''It was a stylish farewell for Sebastian. I like him and he is a good boy. Driving Ferrari is very special and it is very difficult to be successful there. I tried for six years myself. Ferrari really only managed with two drivers: Michael Schumacher and Niki Lauda," says Berger at ServusTV.

The Austrian also gives Vettel a good chance of great results at Aston Martin. ''They have a Mercedes engine and the current car is a copy of a Mercedes. However, we will also see a strong McLaren in 2021, so it won't be easy for Sebastian. However, he already has four world titles, so he doesn't have to prove anything at all," concludes Berger.
